minu lugu

My story

Me kõik sünnime siia maailma selleks, et läbi kogemuste õppida. Palju aastaid tagasi juhtus minuga autoavarii, kuid sellel hetkel ei teadnud ma veel, et negatiivsest kogemusest võib saada minu elu üks tähtsamaid peatükke.

Seljavalud, mis tulid minu ellu koos autoavariiga, muutusid järjest tugevamaks ning ühel hetkel ei olnud ma enam suuteline isegi voodist püsti tõusma. Arstidelt ma peale valuvaigistite muud abi ei saanud. Ettevaatlikult hakkasid nad mind hoopis ette valmistada tuleviku ees: ratastool. Nii oligi viimaseks ülekõrreks minu jaoks joogatunni külastamine. Esimesest tunnist alates tundsin, et olen õiges kohas ja ka minu valudest vaevatud keha hakkas ennast iga trenniga järjest paremini tundma, kuni saabus hetk, millal mu selg enam üldse ei valutanud. Olin juba harjunud 24/7 kestvate valudega ja õppinud sellega elama ja kui siis valud äkki kadusid oli korrga imelik aga samas joovastav tunne.

Keerasin oma elus täiesti uue lehekülje ja alustasin purjelaua treeningutega. Alguses oli hirm, et selg ei pea koormusele vastu aga tänu joogatreeningutele olin oma selga piisavalt tugevdanud ja see kartus osutus täiesti asjatuks. Purjelauale lisandus hobina veel ka lumelaud ja tänu jooga praktikale võin veeta merel või mäel terve päeva seljavalusid tundmata.

Armastus jooga vastu viis mind mu elus järgmisele etapile. Soovisin nii väga enda joogakogemust edasi anda teistele ja alustasin joogatreeneri ja hiljem joogateraapia õpinguid. Keskendun treeneri ja terapeudina just seljaprobleemidele sest ligikaudu 80% inimestest kogu maailmas kannatab seljavalude all.

Joogatreeneri ja terapeudina tunnetan ma iga päevaga järjest rohkem kõike seda, mis mind ümbritseb, läbi oma kehatunnetuse. 18 aastase noorukina jooksed muretult läbi elu, tihti oma keha liigselt koormates. Öeldakse, et sinu vanus näitab seda, mitu protsenti oled oma elust kaotanud. 40 aastane inimene on oma kehast juba 40 protsenti kulutanud ning järjest rohkem hakkad väärtustama seda, et sa oled veel tugev ja terve.

Aastal 2010 võtsin ma eesmärgiks läbida jooksumaratoni ning aastal 2011 saigi minu unistus teoks. Ületades koos teiste tuhandete inimestega finishi joont, tundsin kuidas kõik on maailmas võimalik, kui väga tahta. Soovin ka kõikidele oma klientidele enesekindlust ja tahtejõudu oma unistuste elluviimisel.

We all are born in this world to learn through experiences. Many years ago I had a car accident, but at that moment I did not know yet that one day this negative experience could turn into one of the biggest chapters of my life. 

Back pain that was caused by the accident progressed and at one point I was not even able to get out of bed. The doctors did not give me any other help besides prescribing painkillers. Instead, very cautiously they started preparing me for my future: my life in a wheelchair. All that lead me to my last hope that was visiting a yoga lesson. In the first lesson I felt that I was in a right place and my body exhausted from the pain started to feel better within every next lesson, until I reached to the point when I was not suffering any back pain. I was already used to living with a continuous physical pain 24/7, but suddenly, when the pain had disappeared, it felt very odd but relaxing.  

I turned a new page in my life and started with windsurfing practice. At first I was afraid that my back would not bare that physical burden but due to the yoga lessons my back was strong enough and my fear was with no reason. Besides windsurfing I also started snowboarding and thanks to yoga I could spend the whole day at sea or in the mountains without feeling any back pain.

My love for yoga took my life to a new level. I wished to share my yoga experience to the others as well and that is why I started with my studies to become a yoga instructor and later on in yoga therapy. As an instructor and a therapist I especially focus on back problems because approximately 80% of the people suffer from back pain. 

Being a yoga instuctor and a therapist I sense everything surrounding gradually through my body. When you are 18-year old, you run carelessly through your life constantly wasting your body. They say that one’s age shows how many percents of life has already been lived. A 40-year-old has wasted 40 percent of his body and that is when  you start to value staying strong and healty more and more.  

In 2010 I had a goal to run a marathon and in 2011 my dream came true. When crossing the finish line with thousands of other people I felt that everything was possible if you just wanted enough.

For my clients I wish self-confidence and strong willingness to make the dreams come true.
